Rufus is good. However series was a little confusing and too political and hard to understand actors at times. Definitely not a series that i would continue to watch even if there was more episodes

I loved this series; I found Rufus Sewell very sexy and admirable in every way. The only criticism I have is that the series was only 3 episodes long.

Maybe if you’re Italian the style would appeal. Wanted to love it... didn’t get through 15 minutes.

Good detective stories. It seems corruption permeates all aspects of life in this series, but the detective stories are so interesting that it pulled me in and kept me there to the end.

Well shoot! I really enjoyed this - he's so Italian.ly smooth, but not :-) ... Stories are good, acting is great. I watch a great deal of Euro-mystery-tv and enjoy most of them. Read they didn't keep Zen because they already had a…

A very good adaptation of three Didbin books. Good acting and location, a little taste of Italian politics.

Classy, clever & stylish. The plot-lines are actually plausible & no gratuitous gore (which is so fashionable these days) ... yet it manages to hold your attention. Beautiful scenes of Rome are an added bonus. My only complaint??...only 3…

Zen is a spectacular crime drama. It is a bit confusing in the beginning because there are all these characters with British accents playing Italian detectives, crime bosses and government ministers. The director wisely decided to dispense…

i have tried and tried again to get into this series, but to no avail. Reading the reviews before mine i'm wondering if i was just missing something. I will have to go back and review one final time to see if i can get into it. (I'll keep…

Latin counterweight to Scandanavian police procedurals, ie Kurt Wallender, Martin Beck.

Really good detective made-for-tv thriller. I really want to see more of this kind of production.

Fine cop thriller, in three longish episodes: well-written and, under all the gritty criminality, not devoid of subtle layers, understatement and nuance. There's even a nicely-flavoured romance that isn't all brazen hustle and bold…

Wish we could see more of Aurelio Zen. Complex character, sort of a dark Flashman minus the humour. Good scenery. English accents are a bit disconcerting, usually we hear American accents with Italian characters :-)

A detective story like this one could only happen in Italy. A lone detective handling a high profile kidnapping case, going out with his girlfriend while waiting for an important call from the kidnappers, relying on mostly luck in solving…

Great series. Strange premise with Brits playing Italians in Rome but worked pretty well. Focus on integrity of main character was refreshing. Rufus Sewell was great! Understated.

Excellent series with Rufus Sewell eminently watchable as always. The paradox of Aurelio Zen's position (and the threat to his career) is that he has a reputation for integrity that shady politicians want to utilise while they pressure…
