We have seen all 8 sets (binged) and LOVED each of them. Heads up to those who are now working your way through.... SPECIAL FEATURES at some point which we discovered around set 4 or 5 share details of actual story lines that the…

The long awaited seventh season folded seamlessly into the new scheme of things so that we could continue weaving in and out of Foyle's life. Sam looks so old compared to the first disc, "The German Woman", she was so young and chirpy. …

A good change from police work to post-war intelligence. Interesting intrigues within political organizations.

Producer/writer changes gears from World war II to early Cold war from Russian style musical opening. Foyle a loose cannon only that he still have his morals to friends, intelligence co-workers & enemies.

Wow! A TV series we totally enjoyed. The stories, complicated and unpredictable, were all interwoven, and in the end - but not until the end - always all wrapped up and the case(s) solved - usually in the way you least expected it, but…

We love Michael Kitchen's Foyle in our house, but I gave this one a 4 instead of a 5 because it is dark, pessimistic, and Foyle seems worn out compared to the brilliance and lightness of his war years. Perhaps this is because he is caught…

This successful BBC detective series was set in Sussex during WWII and now seems set in London as Foyle moves on to work with MI5. The UK has been exhausted by the five years of war and as the commentary points out, many people at the…

i didn't like the 1st 2 episodes at all. violent, creepy, communist. the 3rd one was better. also honeysuckle looked pale, thin and terrible with her horrible wartime hairdo. she didn't really have a clear place in this series.

Anthony Horowitz is a genius. I so loved the Foyle's War series and was disappointed it ended, but then WWII cannot go on forever. But Mr Horowitz created a new era in which Christopher Foyle could ply his forensic skills. At the end…

Even better than the original series! Well-written, intelligent scripts and excellent casts in post WWII Cold War intrigue provide even more suspense. Call it Le Carre Light. Don't miss this one.
