GREAT 1967 musical romantic comedy film of 1961 Broadway hit.
First time I've seen it - great staging by Bob Fosse and enjoyable performances by all the cast.

How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying does not represent the wonderful musical. This musical is a broadway hit, with catchy songs, spectacular dancing, and hilarious jokes all the way throughout. This film makes the wonderful musical seem like the worst. The acting in the movie is terrible with the characters expressing very dramatic, weird, and unrealistic facial expressions at randoms points throughout that are very hard to watch. kIn addition to this the choreography is very limited and not designed well. The only positive note was that the cuts that were made from the original musical to make the length of the movie more priorate were very reasonable and were made aT the right spots, as I know the musical. In conclusion, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying is a fantastic musical but in this movie it has been portrayed in the wrong hands and is created and acted terribly.

More mid century eye candy, song and dance. Bonus association: Robert Morse, who plays the lead J. Pierpont Finch in this movie has a new life as Bertram Cooper in the series Mad Men.

I usually hate musicals, but I love this one. I have probably seen it at least fifteen times over the years. I would recommend this to fans of more comedic musicals.
