If you like non-stop martial arts action by very young and very old and everyone in between, then this is the movie for you! - it's funny, too! Everyone in this movie is absolutely amazing.

As stated elsewhere in the reviews: if you're looking for a movie with an excellent plot / character development, then you will find yourself let down.

However, the choreography scenes in this movie are worth taking a look at -- it shows that the concept of a drunken fighter can be pulled off rather well.

In response to one of the other comments, it's pretty silly to go into a Jackie Chan movie expecting plot and characterization. This is justly one of his most famous movies, full of brilliantly staged fights that owe as much to Buster Keaton as they do to Bruce Lee. Not to be confused with "Drunken Master," (1978) which is also classic Chan.

Aside from the Police Story Saga, perhaps the greatest Jackie Chan film I've ever seen...again (wickedly funny w/ fascinating fight sequences).

Really wish SPL had acquired the DVD with original language. This DVD only has dubbed English and French as audio options! Really?! Original filmed language with English subtitles always preferable for me when it comes to foreign films of any kind!

Interesting movie, but it likely would have been better if it had more characterization, and the plot was better developed. The fight scenes were great, but that wasn't what I was looking for so I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this to anybody who was looking for more than the fighting.
