All the McKenzie brothers want is a free case of beer and a quiet place to blech, so they put a mouse in a beer bottle and go to the Elsinore Brewery to complain. There they encounter the diabolical Brewmeister Smith who has concocted a scheme to rule the world by contaminating Elsinore Beer with a mind-controlling chemical.

I give it some extra credit for being what it is (24 years old) and for being a kooky sendup of Star Wars AND Hamlet. That's worth SOMEthing. As for funny....hmm, look at the time....
This spin-off of Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas's "Great White North" skit from "SCTV" is kinda funny and kinda bizarre, eh. The beer-guzzling, backbacon eating, none too bright brothers get involved with a kidnapped heiress and a diabolical scheme to control people through tainted beer. Bergman veteran Max Von Sydow plays the bad guy. It's amusing, if not exactly laugh out loud funny. Oh, and it's loosely based on "Hamlet." So crack upon a Molson, you hosers and enjoy.
