A great, fast read. My first Crais/Elvis Cole novel. This one was very much like Robert Parker's Spenser novels - tough private eye with an enigmatic partner who is apparently a superman of a sort. They seem to solve mysteries intuitively with few clues and little regard for the law. It was very enjoyable and I'll certainly be on the waiting list for the rest of Mr. Crais' books.

An old detective novel that touches on aspects of Hollywood. I enjoyed going back in time.

Good read, more old style detective novel. Very human good guys, bad guys not so much

I enjoyed the wise cracking self deprecating P.I. There was enough action to keep me reading. I'll go for #2 in the series.
