I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, and the plot was excellent, a couple of twists and turns I didn't see coming. A lot of really well researched detail, and best of all, everything in the book was believable, plausible, and realistic! Recommend without any reservations.

Good example of atomicpunk book heavy emphasis on gee whiz on atomic engine circa 1959.
Rocket may be faster ,but greater danger if it goes wrong. Same with nuclear reactor.
Pity author never went for problem of how to fed the astronauts or how to go to the bathroom. Same with spacesuits not have UV protection. They now have increased chance of skin cancer.
