Inside includes Barbra's first special filmed in black and white for CBS in 1965. Also includes the one woman tour de force 'Color Me Barbra', which critics and audiences loved. And a surprise that two TV specials that were never commercially released will also be included which are "Bella on 14th Street" and "Other Musical Instruments".

My Name Is Barbra changed the way television specials were made for performers. No guest stars, no idle chat, just performer, musicians and great songs. It put Streisand on the international map winning several television emmy awards as well as others. From then on the formula was set. This is not only a musical journey of La Streisand's but how the television industry changed with colour and film-to-video. The only one of these specials that did not have an accompanying album released was Bell Of 14th Street which was the lowest rated of her specials and oddly enough was the only one to have co-stars. But the others are fun. Watching My Name Is Barbra it's hard to believe that she was making her first special because she comes on like a seasoned pro. It aired at 10:00 pm New York Time and was the talk of the industry. See for yourself what all the fuss was about. Great fun!
