This is certainly unusual presentation, but it all works. You have the orchestra on stage and the cast in chairs. Each performer comes up for their scene and sings. The singing is what carries the day here, because Reba McEntire sings her heart out. The entire cast, including Alex Baldwin, who adds humor to the affair. If you missed this on PBS, then this is your chance to hear one best casts to South Pacific as they performed it at Carnegie Hall. Great television and now a great DVD!
