'Happy Valley' in Utah boasts a low crime rate, high literacy rate, and even the most jello eaten. What they don't advertise is the high drug abuse rate and rate of teen deaths due to drugs. Here is a look at several families affected by addiction.

Powerful. Highly recommend. Could be anywhere, U.S.A. impt. Given Seattle's heroin epidemic. We must embrace addicts, help them fight their isolation. Very difficult.

This doc focuses almost entirely on the drug problem in Utah state. The director has been personally affected by the crisis of prescription and illegal drug abuse - his former wife is a drug addict and his step-daughter is in jail for failing to save her friend when she overdosed. There are some great interviews with families who understand that their children were a train wreck waiting to happen, and others that were completely taken by surprise. Plus an interview with a really honest woman who traded prescription drug abuse with overeating. Parts of this are hard to watch and be prepared and pack some tissues.

A quirky film about how drug addiction has gotten out of control in Utah, both prescription and non-prescription, and how this has affected some families.

There aren't too many old addicts, they're gone. You either get better or you die.
