A gem. I appreciate the scaling down of measurements of ingredients for one person. Very helpful. Beautifully written and photographed. Kudos, Judith!

I like the premise: that we single people can be able to spoil ourselves with good food and not break the bank and/or have leftovers until Doomsday...

That being said, some of the recipes made me go bleargh (which would have earned me a lecture from my great-grandmother). Even then, though, it's a taste thing (kidneys, ick!) rather than any inherent fault of the recipes.

Loved this book!Everything I made from this cookbook turned out delicious. I shouldn't be surprised seeing as how Judith Jones worked with Julia Child.

The only complaint I have is that the portions are for one person! I had to double/triple/quadruple the recipes for my family and everything still turned out great.
