I generally love historical fiction, especially those based in England that employ a little mystery and a few twists and this book had all of that but just seemed to be missing something. It was an alright read, but nothing more. I found the plot lagging in parts and had figured the whole thing out about 1/3 of the way through.

I'd recommend this as a good summer read for a lazy day at the cottage.
