Jesse Stone is a fairly good series. A little slow, sometimes monotonous, but entertaining.

Most drama movies could make you feel sad, not depressed. This movie keeps draging on, and on, and on, ..., and on about the gloomy life which Jessy and his surroundings are enduring. It helps stretching the playing time for at least 30%. The viewers will certainly share this same depression! It may be the main objective of the the producer! The parts directly related to the crime play minor role in this movie.

No Remorse is one of the better Jesse Stone films. Yes, you'll still see the old man sleep with girls young enough to be his granddaughters, but you also see some great detective work. Three people are murdered in parking structures in Boston and Captain Healy asks for Jesse's help. It turns out the killer has "no remorse" and actually killed two of the people to cover up the third murder.

"No Remorse", 2010, the six outing for Tom Selleck. I keep wondering how they get what should be a 15 minute story to last for 127 minutes. Most of it is childish questioning and responding by a guy who won't grow and get on with his life. There's a great line spoken to Jesse: "Don't let me fall asleep". When you the name 'Tom Selleck' as co-writer get prepared for lousy writing.

Another in the series of Jesse Stone television films. Selleck plays the troubled lawman in just the right way, a complicated man with a lot of problems, and the strong characterization and atmosphere of these make them work so well.

Best if you view the series. The characters do build up from the earlier episodes. It does stand alone, but better if you understand the back story.

I can't imagine any other actor who can play Jesse Stone as well as Tom Selleck. Dry,depressed but always thinking. I enjoyed this film. After reading all of Robert Parker's books, I couldn't recall or find any plot like this one. So I do appreciate jmg2ooo's comment about the movie being credited to Tom Selleck, not Robert Parker. What the heck was the suspension for? It begins the movie and but the plot never explains it. I can only surmise the writers needed some way of having Jesse Stone not in charge of the investigations to flesh out the plot. The dog, Reggie, is quite an actor in his own right. Dry, depressed, but always thinking. I found myself wanting to yell at the television, "Pet the dog, for gosh sakes, pet the dog!" I held it back figuring Jesse would only say, "what are you looking at?" in his dry way.

No Remorse is the sixth in a series of eight television films based on the characters of Parker's Jesse Stone novels...written by, at least credited to, Tom Sellack and clearly showed. Not the best but very watchable.
