I recently did a day trip travelling through the Panama Canal on a small tourist boat. Having seen this film first made me have a much greater appreciation for what was involved. It taught me about the tremendous endeavor, not only in terms of engineering, but human suffering. An excellent, interesting film about all aspects of building this big 'ditch'.
