At first you'll find the main character very unsympathetic and the movie kind of slow....but if you hang in there...you will be well rewarded - believe me.

Father Jacob is wise and beautiful. He's a saint.

This film from Finland is a story of faith and redemption. With a slow pace and basically a cast of two, it still engages you. A good story, regardless of your religious beliefs. Subtitles.

Wow! I love dramas and I love, loved this movie. I think it is safe to say that nothing and no one passes scrutiny.

I did not scrutinize this moving movie, I watched, I felt and I believed in the pain manifested.

This is a wonderful narrative told from an unusual point of view. I found it gripping and had to watch it twice!

A well-done movie, with a simple, thoughtful, heartfelt message. Slower moving than a typical movie. Worth-while. A movie about reaching out, and going beyond one's self and duty to help out another stranger who is in need of comfort, forgiveness and redemption.
