Though it started off slow and didn't pick up until rather far into the book, I found the characters truly growing on me for that first time. The explorations of Will's backstory were great and emotional. I found that by the end of the book, in that last scene, I was smiling giddily because of how happy I was with these characters and their progressions. I had low expectations for this book, and though many of the issues I had with it's predecessor were equally present in this one, the characters really came through in this one, and quite made up the difference.

I can’t get over how much I loved this book!!!

I loved the plot line, the characters are amazing, and everything is described with so much detail. It was absolutely fantastic!

So much going on with each of the characters it is impossible not to feel attached to them. Cassandra Clare has a way of making the reader to even feel sorry about her villains by writing about their dark and sad past. I just love how each character has its own story.

As for the love triangle in the story, I can see why Tessa has feelings for both Will and Jem. Will, someone who she has a connection with through books and poetry, who can make her laugh even when she’s angry. And then there is sweet Jem, someone who she confides in and can talk to about anything. Yes it seems like a typical love triangle, but neither one of these boys know about the feelings they both have for her, so in a way…they don’t really know they’re in a love triangle…

And the cliffhanger…. What?!? I cannot wait to dig into Clockwork Princess and see how this story concludes!!!

A absolutely wonderful series. I could not put them down. The connection with the characters from the "original" make this so much better. You get to find out some much about where it all started and how things impact the future with out you knowing

In all honesty, this book cover was not my favourite to look at. Two reasons would be due to my preference for Will, and the oddness of how Jem looks on this cover page. However, it is more or less displayed correctly. This comic, overall, was greatly depicted and drawn out. However, the second book in the Infernal Devices Trilogy was never my favourite to read, so that made the book a little less enjoyable. Personally, I liked the first comic better. Maybe this could be due to less of the exaggeration of characters and moods of a chapter, or something else entirely different that I don't know of. In a rating of how this manga relates to classical Japanese manga, this book would be quite high in similarity and style. 4/5 Stars.

This book was fun to read, but hard to accept. I had always shipped Will and Tessa, and this book was difficult for me to allow happen. The inner turmoil going on behind Will's sassy outlook (why do all Herondales hold all their hurt and feelings behind??) is simply too tragic and despairing. How can Tessa be so ignorantly blind?? Jem may be sweet, but unfortunately he was never my pick. All this is simply too much to take in from the blooming romance in the first book. Tessa, despite her ignorance, still faces day to day issues with her brother, creatures infernally designed, and inner demons. She cannot possibly get caught up with more, or so the readers may think. 4.5/5 Stars

Clockwork Prince was so much better than Clockwork Angel! Cassandra really stepped it up with the sequel. So many things were revealed in this book from Will's past, to Jessamine's betrayal! This book made me feel so many different emotions at once! I feel so bad for Will!!!

Demon pox, oh demon pox, just how is it acquired?
One must go down to the bad part of town 'til one is very tired.
Demon pox, oh demon pox, I had it all along.
No, not the pox, you foolish blocks, I mean this very song,
For I was right and you were wrong!
