I love this story and always have a blast when I share it with my preschool friends. Sometimes we read it cover to cover, and sometimes we skip to our favorite poems and paintings. This book is a brilliant way to provoke or build on interest in bees and has inspired countless activities, explorations, and art projects in my classrooms. Especially paper crown and wing making for dramatic play, and a combo math/art honeycomb drawing project.
