"Flashpoint has changed the DC Universe, and nothing is as it was before. Now, Kal-El of Krypton never became Superman. He has spent his entire life locked up by the government as "Subject 1." But if he's going to become the hero he was always meant to be, first he has to save the world... But Kal is not alone in trying to save this flawed world. Traci 13 uses her magic to travel the war-torn world and prevent further destruction. An unusual hero takes his holy mission to the Amazon army to save his native England... And Booster Gold, the only hero besides the Flash to remember the world as is was, will put his life on the line to try to save the world he knew-- by battling the creature that once nearly destroyed him!" -- p. Not as good or thrilling as the main Flashpoint storyline but okay to read.

Stronger than I would have expected. This collection of stories set in the Flashpoint reality varies in quality, depending on art and characters. The Superman story itself is the weakest, largely because of mediocre art, but the rest of the stories are stronger. The second miniseries features a magic based character I wasn't familiar with, though the story is crisply told and well paced. The last story, a one shot, features a profoundly obscure character, but is rather nicely done. It's the Booster Gold story, several issues from his solo series, that works best. The timecop is the only one who realizes the world isn't set right, and tries to figure out how to make things right again. This brings him into conflict with the mega-villain Doomsday, and the tale really lifts the collection up in a way that it would have otherwised lacked.
