Second star to the right. And straight on till morning.

“Oh, the cleverness of me!”

“Pan, who and what art thou?" he cried huskily.
"I'm youth, I'm joy," Peter answered at a venture, "I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg.”

“For long the two enemies looked at one another, Hook shuddering slightly, and Peter with the strange smile upon his face.
"So, Pan," said Hook at last, "this is all your doing."
"Ay, James Hook," came the stern answer, "it is all my doing."
"Proud and insolent youth," said Hook, "prepare to meet thy doom."
"Dark and sinister man,“For long the two enemies looked at one another, Hook shuddering slightly, and Peter with the strange smile upon his face.
"Dark and sinister man," Peter answered, "have at thee.”

“I taught you to fight and to fly. What more could there be?”

SAPPHIREBEAR15 Jun 11, 2012

“If you shut your eyes and are a lucky one, you may see at times a shapeless pool of lovely pale colours suspended in the darkness; then if you squeeze your eyes tighter, the pool begins to take shape, and the colours become so vivid that with another squeeze they must go on fire.”

“You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you. That’s where I’ll be waiting.”

SAPPHIREBEAR15 Jun 11, 2012

“Can anything harm us, mother, after the night-lights are lit?"
Nothing, precious," she said; "they are the eyes a mother leaves behind her to guard her children.”

SAPPHIREBEAR15 Jun 11, 2012

“There could not have been a lovelier sight; but there was none to see it except a little boy who was staring in at the window. He had ecstasies innumerable that other children can never know; but he was looking through the window at the one joy from which he must be for ever barred.”

“You need not be sorry for her. She was one of the kind that likes to grow up. In the end she grew up of her own free will a day quicker than the other girls.”

Hello, darlings! - Peter Pan is yet another gem of pre-CGI animation from Disney Studios.

One of the best animated Disney films. The music is amazing as well.

This movie is too old!! Maybe the last time I've watched it was in 2014 or maybe older. It is not a SPECTACULAR movie because we've heard this story from our parents 50 times or more. I'm sure that the kids will like this movie as they liked Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and the other Disney animated movies. I'm too old for these kind of movies. I give this movie 3/10 and I recommend it for all the kids that didn't watch the movie but I'm pretty sure that no one will listen to me because all the kids these days are watching THE AVENGERS and all the other SUPER HEROES movies. - @rahmamawlood of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Just imagine - Kids who don't grow up - Shadows that run away from their owners - Pirates - Fairies - And the amazing ability to fly!.... Wow! One can't help but wish, and hope, and dream, that this tremendous adventure to Never-Neverland, with all of its hypnotic enchantment, would somehow happen to them.

While this 1953 Disney release doesn't quite qualify as one of the studio's animated classics, it is nonetheless a wonderfully entertaining version of James M. Barrie's children's play about Never-Neverland, and the three Darling children taken there by Peter Pan and his fairy companion, Tinkerbell.

Captain Hook is so nasty that you can't help but love him for being that way. And, of course, Peter Pan torments him to no end.... And, yes, it's all great fun.

"We can fly! We can fly! We can fly! Wheeeee!"

Pixies? Fairies?.... You know, I'd gladly choose this delightfully charming slice of make-believe (and all of its genuine wonder) over Spielberg's plodding, crappy, old Hook, any day.

Without a doubt, Peter Pan has certainly earned itself an extra-special place in the magical realm of classic animated Disney films. Regardless of one's age, this captivating film actually has the power to instill an element of wonder, hope, and joy into all who view it.

This 1953 screen-version of James M. Barrie's superb story about childhood dreams and fantasies is both comical and colourfully told, and, thankfully, kept on the straight and narrow when it comes to the book's storyline. Barrie's wondrous focus on eternal child's play is the key to this tale's overwhelming charm and enduring longevity.

In the early 20th century, Peter Pan (Jeremy Sumpter) visits London and becomes enthralled by the stories that Wendy Darling (Rachel Hurd-Wood) tells to her brothers. Wendy asks to visit Never Land and Peter invites her to be the "mother" to his gang of Lost Boys (most of whom are English accented). Before leaving, she asks to bring her brothers John (Harry Newell) and Michael (Freddie Popplewell), and Peter teaches them all to fly with him.
