these series are the best i seriously love how every villain has a backstory and it makes me feel sad for them when i was small i always hoped the villains would lose ( i regret it) i wish i could go to the land of stories and meet everyone and have those cool adventures i am so jealous of alex and connor wow what i would give to go there and return safe

One of the things I love about this series is that the author gives the villains a backstory too -- there is a reason for their behaviour and why they're "mean" or evil (like Evly the Evil Queen in book 1, Ezmia the Enchantress in this book, and Lloyd in book 3).
The Land of Stories is an awesome, amazing series!!

The Enchantress Returns, written by Chris Colfer is the second installment in his series, The Land of Stories. Following the end of the first book, Alex and Connor Bailey find themselves back in the Land of Stories, after problems start to arise within the kingdom, as a great evil threatens everyone. Now as the adventure continues, this novel definitely portrays the author's ability to turn emotions into words, as it explores the emotional depth of the characters. Overall, it's an amazing addition to the story, as near the end the twins must make a very important decision for the well-being of the Land of Stories. I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars, as it truly underlines many different concepts relatable to the younger audience.
