Disney was more focused on the animation than the story. And what was with the ghost with the candle head?

When my friends went to watch the second twilight film, I opted to watch anything but the twilight film at the time, which was 10pm at night. This was that film. I was the only person in the theatre watching, and roughly a third of the way through, I realized Jim Carrey was in it, and playing most of the parts. It wasn't a good film, and frankly the experience left me a little unsettled.

Spectacular animation and magnificent special FX!
Thoroughly enjoyed this feature much like the original story line from the B&W classic.

I didn't expect to like it, but I absolutely LOVED this version of the Christmas Carol. The animation was spectacularly gorgeous! Although I don't feel this appropriate for small children, this film is far less creepy than the Alastair Sims version. Watching it will now be part of our yearly holiday tradition.

This movie was very well done in terms of the animation and the way the story goes. I can understand why people would have a problem with it since it was creepy at times. But it was still very well done and the message of the movie was translated loud and clear.

Good 3D effects. Solid carry performance. Story that stands the test of time.

This is supposed to be a 'magical' retelling of Charles Dickens' beloved tale- Disney's A Christmas Carol ; a high-flying , heartwarming adventure for the whole family. The animation brings to life the characters with even the fine nuances of physical performance and the story line is fairly true to the common tale. There are a few little twists and omissions which are consistent in most of the previous films ; but they don't take anything from the film , while the new little bits are refreshing. All this being said ; it really is just another take on and venue for the good old " Christmas Carol".

(Scrooge) What reason have you to be merry? You're poor enough.
(Nephew) What reason have you to be dismal, you're *rich* enough!

Violence: Extrememe amount of violence , even for an animated film , but especially a Disney production. Parental Guidance is an appropriate rating and I hope adults will consider this before they allow young children to be terrified and perhaps suffer from life long nightmares . ( I'm not kidding! )
