"Jack Sommers was just an ordinary accountant from Chicago-that is, until his wife passed away, his young daughter was kidnapped, and he became the main suspect in an $88 million dollar embezzlement case. Now Jack is on the run, hoping to avoid the feds long enough to rescue his daughter, Sophie, from her maternal grandfather, a suspected terrorist in Palestine. With the help of investigative team Liam and Catherine, and a new CIA operative, a secret mission is launched to not only rescue Sophie but also to thwart a major terrorist attack in Hebron. But will being caught in the crossfires of the Palestine-Israeli conflict keep their team from accomplishing the task at hand, or can they overcome the odds and save countless lives, including their own?"-- Provided by publisher.

Fabulous. Could not put it down once I got into it. I actually liked it better than "Once We Were Brothers" as the plot to that story has been told many times before, but this felt incredibly fresh and contemporary. I think Daniel Silva fans will like this boo. I recommend it for your next lawyer/detective/spy read.

Loved, loved this book. It was so suspenseful that it kept me up late at night reading & then got up early to keep reading it. Ronald Balson's books are well developed characters & plot &found that the historical part of it was extremely interesting & I learned a great deal about so many thing. I would highly recommend it if you enjoy reading historical fiction books that are also mysteries.

This book was a good suspense / legal thriller. It has a lot going on and in the beginning there were many characters and situations being introduced that made it a bit confusing to keep track of. Once you get familiar with what's going on the plot moves at a good pace. Some of the lengthy Middle East history lessons slowed the story down in places but it was educational. I've enjoyed both books by this author.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to read Balson's new book which will be released in 2016.
