In 1957, a young boy named Jason Voorhees drowned. In 1958, two camp counselors were murdered. In 1962, fires and bad water kept Camp Crystal Lake from reopening. Now in 1979, Crystal Lake will finally be reopened by Steve Christy with the help of a few new counselors. The counselors begin to get ready for campers that summer. Ignoring the warnings from a local, the murders start once again while a mysterious stalker prowls the area. As bodies fall to the ground, the counselors realize that no one is safe in the camp.

This movie is terrible. There are about 15 minutes of plot in the 90-minute runtime, and the majority of the film is just the kids getting picked off one by one without doing anything to try and escape or fight back. One of the only decent portions was in the climax when the killer is finally revealed. Other than that, though, I'd give this movie a skip.

(And don't even get me started on the god-awful cinematography. They use the same shot leading up to every death! Ugh.)

As a horror movie fan I love and have this movie. As I was
watching this movie I was wondering who this deranged
maniac killer is. I was shocked
to find out it was Jason's mother Pamela Vorhees. I never saw that coming that
was awesome!
