Our library has this book in the romance collection, and let me just say it doesn't belong there. People who pick this book up expecting a happy romance are destined to be disappointed. This is, however, a great chick lit book (read should be in fiction).

Higgins does an excellent job creating memorable and believable characters in Jenny and Rachel. I enjoyed how she even developed the stories of several of the side characters. Both these ladies have problems, this book is about their journeys. Yes there is somewhat of a romantic interest for Jenny, but he has his own issues.

The pacing for this book varies. Some parts seem fast and others seem to go much slower. The story is interesting and drama lovers will find plenty to interest them in this book. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, this is an interesting read. While Higgins does usually write romance, this is more of a book of self discovery for the two sisters than a true romance.

This book was so well written. It show how marriage can appear to be so much better to an outsider than it is. The betrayal and yet how difficult to let go of a long standing relationship. A must read.

OMG! This book was such a good read. The characters are so well written. I think every woman who reads this can related in some small way to either of the sisters. This book had me cooking dinner for my kids and reading at the same time! I couldn't get to the end of the book fast enough to find out how the story ended for each sister - Yeah Rachel!

While I may hate the term "women's fiction," this is a superb example of how women's lives and women's relationships make for fascinating reading. Higgins writes so well on the close relationship of sisters Jenny and Rachel; the difficult, tangled relationship of both sisters with their mother; what it is like to be a mother (and of triplets! lordy); how the seemingly perfect marriage may be anything but; how difficult it is to let go. The characters are so well written, and the alternating chapters, switching between Jenny and Rachel, keep the story at a wonderful pace. I stayed up late to finish it -- I had to see how each sister's story ended.

Perfect chick lit, it just doesn't get any better than this book! Characters you really care about, situations and dialogue that make you laugh out loud, and moments where you are truly moved.

I couldn't put this book down, wanted to see where Jenny and Rachel's stories went. Kristin Higgans writes books full of real-life scenarios and dilemmas, characters who are engaging, flawed and loveable. The dialogue is witty and sharp. I would highlighly recommend this one.

I loved this book! I wanted to see more of what this relationship had going for it. The banter of Jenny and Leo was fantastic, it made me laugh, cry and just not want it to end. I can say I was left with a smile on my face after finishing this book. Rachel's story was great how one can just get into the groove of everyday life and not see what's happening around her. If Kristan Higgins writes more like this I will definitely be reading more. This is a chick lit book not much of a romance, but you won't be disappointed with this book!
