A very enjoyable light-hearted look at ourselves and what makes us tick.

You're a neuroscientist, you should write a book!

Um...no.

Neuroscience "lite" at best, neither the flip manner he discusses the subject, or his generic explanations, makes this worth reading.

Try Norman Doidge "The brain that changes itself"

An excellent explanation of how bad our brains are at dealing with reality and also an excellent explanation of how good our brains are at dealing with reality. Dean Burnett dives deep into all the foibles and quirks that our minds are prone to. I found it to be an enlightening and entertaining book (you can tell from Burnett's writing that he is a part time comedian).
