This is of some interest due to the director's willingness to go over the top with quiet, meaningful cinematography with no obligation to convey meaning or denouement. The casting is great.

I love Juliette Binoche. She certainly does wonderful work portraying a devastated woman in this film. Ms. Binoche does more with her face than many actors can accomplish with pages of lines. The film, however, telegraphs the "secret" in the first scenes and then goes on to pretend that the viewer is confused about the truth. There seems to be little logic in Ms. Binoche's cruelty unless, in extreme pain, she hopes that if one person believes a lie, it might make it true. The cinematography is often as dark as the emotions. If you are as much of a fan of Juliette Binoche as I am, you may want to see this film to watch her exquisite acting. I cannot, however, recommend the film. Kristi & Abby Tabby
