After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark2s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

It was interesting to see what side the characters would pick and why they would pick that side. Great battle scene, well two good battle scenes. One of the more emotional of the MCU movies. But i enjoyed seeing all the characters together and has a good introduction to the new spider man. Although not my favorite spider man ( who is Andrew Garfield in the the first Amazing Spider Man movie, i know most people don't agree with me) he does well interacting with the other avengers, and it is interesting to see a younger and inexperienced super hero compete with older more experienced super hero's.

Sequel to The Winter Soldier, well plotted and fun to watch. I don't like how they put the blame on the heroes in the video that the general shows them. The damage would have been much worse if they would have done nothing. Ridiculous.
My side: Captain America!

Contains some language and taking of Our LORD's name in vain. Worth a try.

This is a 2016 American superhero action drama directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
It features the Marvel Comics character Captain America.
It is the sequel to 2011's Captain America: "The First Avenger" and 2014's Captain America: "The Winter Soldier".
Although it is an action-packed superhero blockbuster boasting stimulating visual effects and violent fighting scenes, the action scenes appear a bit flat compared to those in the "300---a 2006 American epic fantasy war film based on the Battle of Thermopylae."
Its story is childish and predicable.
To view violent scenes, you'll definitely need some willing suspension of disbelief.

"First, I’d like to say I think Marvel Studios does a great job in casting for their characters and they write their characters well. Some may not get as much development as others but they’re all pretty solid people..."

I am not sure how Marvel is managing to churn out masterpiece after masterpiece with these Captain America and Avengers movies but carry on. Also, I must say the introduction to Black Panther was excellent as is the treatment of the character going forward.

Oddly enough, didn't overtake my favorite Marvel movie, Captain America: the Winter Soldier, but settled in second or third place. Which is good enough, as the movie itself is amazing. Obviously meant for fans of the longtime running MCU, the movie tied up threads and began new paths. I highly enjoyed it, and seeing all these characters rolled up together in a Captain America movie was fabulous. As stated below, the jokes were perfectly balanced with the action, which I incredibly grateful for since, in my opinion, that coexistence was severely lacking in Age of Ultron. Jaw-dropping conclusions. Friends torn apart. The Avengers taken down and wedged apart one by one by one. Epic, enjoyable, and satisfying. My only bone to pick with the movie was Black Panther, as I truly believe he needs more character development to strike a deep note with the audience. I personally didn't like him or hate him. He was just...there. Hoping the Black Panther movie will explain him better.

Saw Civil War in the theaters and absolutely loved it. It had the right combination of humor and action. The Russo Brothers rock

Better than I had expected, but not as much as I hoped for. Tony hates Iron Man; Captain dislikes Tony's inability to process the fact that "heros" MUST learn to deal with the tragic consequences of their actions. Stark just comes off as a whiny rich boy, while Cap. has his sights on higher things like friendship and making the world a better place.

Steve Rogers: Tony, if someone dies on your watch, you don't give up.
Tony Stark: Who said we're giving up?
Steve Rogers: We are if we're not taking responsibility for our actions. This document just shifts the blame.
Lt. Col. James Rhodes: Sorry, Steve, that... that is dangerously arrogant. This is the United Nations we're talking about. It's not the World Security Council, it's not S.H.I.E.L.D., it's not Hydra.
Steve Rogers: No, but it's run by people with agendas and agendas change.
Tony Stark: That's good! That's why I'm here. When I realized what my weapons were capable of in the wrong hands, I shut it down. Stopped manufacturing.
Steve Rogers: Tony, you *chose* to do that. If we sign this, we surrender our right to choose. What if this panel sends us somewhere we don't think we should go? What if there's somewhere we need to go and they don't let us? We may not be perfect but the safest hands are still our own.
