Though no one can see him, Hollow Face lurks in the corners, desperately desiring love but only knowing how to spread fear and hate. He creeps into the life of John Farrow (Clive Owen) after Farrow's beloved 13-year-old daughter Mia (Ella Purnell) is assaulted in their home. The line between the real and the imaginary blurs as fissures start to open within the family unit. It seems that no security measure can keep Hollow Face out.

I didn’t get it. I was hoping it would be scary but it was just kind of odd. I didn’t understand why Hollowface was creeping around 2 different kids. That was tedious. And Clive Owen just seemed to stumble around surprised, scared, breathless and in disbelief. I think I did too.

Lighting is okay for the genre, but the story writing is poor.

Didn't watch even 5 minutes because subtitles just dont work in horror/thriller movies; plus the subs were small & outlined so VERY hard to read. If an English dubbed version is available I would borrow it for sure.

Could have been much better! And sorry subtitles don't work in a horror movie! It was an interesting concept/story just didn't work maybe the book is better

The narration was too repetitive.

Average to below average supernatural suspense thriller. The story had a twist that I didn't see coming, but for the most part failed to scare or entertain enough to be worth watching. The acting was good enough, and the story was unique, but it just fell short.

thought would be clever as its a british film, but it was 2 clever for it's own good, which made it a bit useless. twist about mental illness (please tell me that symdrome was made up!) was boring & completely unconvincing & the twist about it being clive owen as a spanish kid becoming perfectly english & forgetting everything was just silly. all the hours spent setting up the storyline then the explaination takes 30 seconds. not worht the time i wasted watching it, even tho i much prefer tension horror to blood & gore

MEH. Too kid-focused. Turned it off

The movie captured my attention because I wanted to see how it all panned out; but, I found the twist unconvincing and, frankly, a week later, I'd say the the movie is forgettable.

Melodramatic horror stinker with misandristic undertones.
