More than any other artist, Chuck Berry cooked up the basic recipe for rock n' roll. With his guitar style, Berry would have many hit songs, including Johnny B. Goode and Maybellene, which are just two of the hits included in this collection.

You know the minute you hear Chuck Berry's guitar style that it is either the original or a cover of his work. Chuck Berry's collection of singles is amazing. He had in the late 1950's and 60's one hit after another. He would then go on and travel the country with a suitcase and a guitar. He would have arranged for a pickup band that he probably doesn't see till he hits the stage. He did that for some 40 years. Although a great showman, he was too risqué for television censors. So we don't have much video of him, but he did do a concert movie "Hail! Hail! Rock and Roll" which is available in the KCLS catalog. That concert also has Linda Ronstadt take part in the concert.
