A very great, funny book! Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors. Highly recommended! Though I think I preferred the Percy Jackson series. The only thing I didn't care for were all the references of LGBTQ characters.

Riordon's books are always funny, but this is one of his best. Apollo is hilariously funny as a narrator, and gives a view into the lift of a Greek gd that is by turns hilarious and tragic. For the first time, I found myself caring what happened to one of the gods instead of just the demi-gods in the story.

Rick Riordan's books are always funny, but this was the funniest of his books that I've read. Apollo is a hilarious narrator; he made everything twice as funny just by the way he talked about it. Meg was also a great companion--very different from any of the other characters that have been there in the past. I also loved the haikus for chapter titles. I'm really interested to see where this series goes. It's hard to top The Heroes of Olympus, but this goes in a different direction while still maintaining the spirit of the series. I'm curious to learn more about the antagonists. Despite the book's length, I still felt like I only got a taste of what is to come, and I can't wait for more.

This book was hilarious, action packed, and heartbreaking at the same time. Although there were some parts of the book that felt off track and jokes that sidetracked the reader and story, the creative humor and characters definitely made up for it. Not to mention, the creative chapter titles are back!!! As an avid Percy Jackson fan, I can't wait for the sequel!
