This story is about a boy named James who was sent to live with his malicious aunts, Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker. I loved the underlying theme of friendship since everyone cared about each other and tried to escape the Cloud-Men. James bonded with Miss Spider, Centipede, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Ladybug, Earthworm, and a few others. Together these creatures traveled across the Atlantic Ocean. My favourite character was Mrs. Spider because she is kind-hearted and acted as a caring mother figure towards James. I would say this book is great for almost everyone but is best for ages 7-10. @grumpykat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library Anything scribed by Dahl is sure to be a hit, and this book just proves how amazing he is! James embarks on a mission away from his cruel aunts alongside his giant peach and the insects that it holds. It will be a big hit amongst the younger audiences, and the film adaptation is a great accompaniment. With happiness and grief mixed into one, this a children's book that allows the reader to experience it all! - @jewelreader of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
