Lots of fun. This whole series is a delightful parody of the "cosy English village mystery" with the main character being a very gay, American vampire who writes romantic history novels. With the help of his "little pills" he is freed from having to drink blood and hiding from the sun letting him become the village sleuth. With vicars, garden parties, aged butlers and every other stereotype of the cosy mystery the writer leads the reader on a well-written, well-paced romp. Locked room mysteries abound, with secret passages and a whole roomful of suspects. A very enjoyable series.
