One of the few films I know of about an adolescent girl trying to survive in a land ruled by ignorant, brutal men, "Osama" nearly takes my breath away. (Readers might want to compare it with the oddly-named "Bliss" or with "Turtles Can Fly".) As far as I know, nothing has improved for women and children of Mid-Eastern wars whether it's the Taliban, Al Qaeda, or ISIS keeping them prisoners.
