I watched this again because I was curious to see if, ten years on, it remained as fine and brilliant as it was when on the WB network. It stands up well. Wheedon's genius was to create a world of horror, but one where the monsters represent the actual problems and horrors of growing up in a world that often fails to make sense and is very scary; in other words, an exaggerated version of reality. The ensemble cast was superb. I'm not sure where they all are now but I hope they always realize what a fine series they were a part of. If you haven't watched this you owe it to yourself. If you're young it may resonate with what you're feeling. If you're old you may understand just what your child is struggling with.
