At the height of their success - Eurythmics were phenomenally popular on both sides of the Atlantic. This British, synthpop, new wave, dance-rock music duo consisted of members Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart. The duo formed in 1980 in London. Their first album, In the Garden, was released in 1981 to little fanfare, but they went on to achieve global success with their second album Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), released in 1983. The title track was a worldwide hit, topping the charts in various countries, including Canada and the US. The duo went on to release a string of hit singles and albums before they split up in 1990. As first-rate recording artists - Eurythmics have won numerous music awards, including a Grammy. To date - Eurythmics' records have sold an estimated 75 million copies, worldwide. This "Greatest Hits" CD consists of 18 tracks in all which were recorded by Eurythmics in the years from 1982-1989. Four of my favourites here are - Here Comes The Rain Again, Miracle Of Love, Thorn In My Side, and Beethoven.... (*Watch music-video*)
