The Lion. --- by. --- Nelson DeMille "Lion" isn't the first DeMille novel I've read --- in fact, it's the third. And I didn't waste a lot of time between one and the other. And you can take that as a tribute to how engaging I've found DeMilles's work to be. The time is now, the setting all over but mainly New York city. The really bad guy, Arab of course , Is on a killing spree fuelled by the need for revenge. The good guy, really likeable good guy, is a cop good guy, is a cop cop and federal agent and federal agent we've not met before, John Corey. There hunting each other --- A final encountregions. Lots of false starts. DeMille writes Corey as amusing, almost bumbling kind of guy. But in the last act --- well, read for yourself. 10 out of 10 for sure.
