I am now watching this brilliant series for the THIRD time. As others have mentioned, there is some effort in keeping up with the subtitles because this is so dialogue and content rich, so the first time, most of my effort went into trying to keep up. Second time around, I was able to focus more on just how different Danish government is from Canadian, US or British - imagine a Canadian Cabinet Minister from an opposition party??? Now, third time, as everything has sort of come together, I'm watching it for the sheer enjoyment of something intelligent and well written. Certainly, there are some clunker moments of poor writing that result in ridiculous behaviour of the characters but I can overlook those for the overall quality of this series. I'm just sorry it had to end! Oh, and for those who comment about House of Cards being a US television series - please...it was a UK series (and much superior, in my opinion) long before the US got their hands on it. Try to check it out - the late Sir Ian Richardson as Francis Urquhart and many of Britain's great acting talents in supporting roles - it was DELICIOUS!
