First off - I would like to point out that (I thought) Rock Hudson's performance here in Seconds was certainly a mighty rare exception compared to whatever else this guy had done in the past. I'd actually go so far as to confidently say that Hudson's portrayal of character Tony Wilson was, by far, his most powerful and, yes, believable performance ever. (Hey! Like - Wow! I'm impressed!) Anyway - Seconds (from 1966) is an expressionistic blend of horror, thriller and science fiction concerning man's obsession with eternal youth and the misplaced faith in the ability for medical science to achieve it. As the story goes - Arthur Hamilton (John Randolph) is a middle-aged man whose life has lost its purpose. He has achieved success in his career, but finds it unfulfilling. Through a friend, a man he thought was dead, Hamilton is approached by a secret organization, known simply as "The Company". The Company gives Hamilton the body of a young man (Rock Hudson) through experimental surgery. (*Watch movie-trailer*)
