Not as good as his other books. It is a little slow and plodding; did not keep my interest as well as his other books. Garcia's brother, a police officer in Barcelona, does not have the same character development or interest that Garcia did. The same can be said for the missing girl's father, Denum, who is an old FBI friend of Hugo and Tom. Claudia shows up to help out but even her character is a little flat. Then there is a tough female cop working with Garcia who seems to parallel the transgendered cop in Paris. All in all, this is a rather disjointed book. Character development is poor. So disappointing as his other books were so good. Better go back to Paris.
