Warlick’s book is based on the life of legendary food writer M.F.K. Fisher as she embarks on her writing career and a ménage à trois in the 1930s LA, Paris and Switzerland. I read this for the food, being a long-time foodie and admirer of her writing. The business with Al Fisher, her first husband, and Tim Parrish, the lover and second husband, made me so sad.
