***SPOILERS*** Don't you cry was my first book of Mary Kubica's, and it disappointed me very much. I don't mean it was the twist that disappointed me, but I mean there were several other things that were hard for me to ignore. Firstly, the language was too fancy for Quinn and Alex, like I couldn't believe characters like Quinn and Alex would use such complicated words like Mrs. Kubica used. Secondly, Alex's part till the last third of the book was only descriptions of every single place he passes by, and it was annoyingly full of similes and metaphors (cold like ice, red as blood blah blah blah). Thirdly, HOW COULD BEN BREAK ANOTHER GIRL'S HEART FOR SOMETHING THAT SHE CAN'T CHANGE??? His girlfriend Priya is independent and that bugs him because he likes ''needy'' types, so instead of solving his problems with her he chooses an easier way (he replaces her). I'm not annoyed because he is jerk, but because his name is Ben, which is a name for a likable character. I would feel better if he was Owen, Frank or Harry. Anyways, the ending was very good and unpredictable, and I recommend it for mystery books lovers who don't find dumping your girlfriend for another girl a big deal. - @rahmamawlood of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
