I hate having to wait so long for this american master story teller to spin out another story. He does it with great characters both good and evil, a plot line with turns and twists that will force you to reread the book to see how you missed the cleverness, and accurate insights into our culture, morals and lessons. In one this books lessons, its two full pages of what it takes to be a successful saleswoman in New Yorks' cutthroat real estate market. This man loves New York and it clearly shows. Harrison's books are great reads with plenty of detail to keep you flipping the pages to find out whats going to happen next. It's also too bad that one of his absolutely best books, The Havana Room, is no longer available at our public library. But don't let that worry you until you have gone through what other books of his are available here. Then you can always get a cheap copy at Powells, read it , lend it and demand return because you know your gonna reread it at least another time. With so much junk out there to read, how nice it is to finally find great writing. And then you'll be waiting just like me for the next book.
